Finally...an Update.

OK, so apparently I need to work on my frequency of blogging! I get so sucked in by everyone's stories on their blogs that I run out of time to update my own...not to mention my "story" seems to uninteresting and unimportant compared to the trials and tribulations that others are going through. BUT, in the long run I just want to document the story of our lives, so that's what I'm going to do. This will be the first "official" post of my second go at this blog, lol. Here we go:

Cory is now 22 months old. I can hardly believe that he will be 2 in less than two months! Sigh. I love him. He still fascinates me each and every day. He's totally into airplanes and helicopters, diggers, bulldozers, buses, trains, trucks...basically any thing that moves and makes loud noises!

We recently turned his car seat around in the car, so now he faces forward. It was a HUGE deal for him. He would cry every.single.time. we parked the car. Car rides are no longer relaxing and quiet - he is constantly pointing out buses (which also includes UPS trucks, or any type of delivery truck for that matter), balloons (mostly the ones tied to cars at dealerships), and his current most favoritest-favorite, "DIGGERS!". :)

His vocabulary is expanding daily, which is very nice to see. I was thinking of typing out a list of words that he can say, but I think that would be silly because there are so many of them now! I think my favorite word that he says is "helicopter" because he pronounces it "happy"! It's so darn cute! My other favorite thing his does is when he quacks like a duck...it sounds more like he has a bug stuck in his throat and he's trying to clear it, lol! I have to get it on video.

As for Sean and me, we are very happy to finally be able to get outside again! It's nice and warm out there now and it feels fabulous to get the house opened up and air out all of the nasty old winter-ness! We are looking forward to our summer vacation to Maine and having my family visit for Cory's birthday.

Lately, we've heard some pretty heart wrenching stories concerning friends and acquaintances and their families - we're very blessed to live the life we are living and know that God has many great things in store for us. I know sometimes it can get easy to take our lives for granted and I am grateful for the chance(s) to remember how blessed we truly are.
